The indigenous women of North America will join the more than 200,000 people that are expected to march the streets of the capital of the United States this Saturday, in the Women’s March.
The protest aims to send a message to the recently sworn-in president, Donald Trump, demanding a commitment to respect for the rights of women, immigrants and the LGTBI community.
As part of the indigenous movement, CHIRAPAQ expresses its solidarity with our sisters, members of the Continental Network of Indigenous Women of the Americas (ECMIA, for its acronym in Spanish) that will participate in the march demanding justice for themselves and their communities.
