CHIRAPAQ has worked constantly for 30 years with indigenous peoples.
In Peru, is has an historical alliance with approximately 30 indigenous organizations both locally-based and nationwide in the Andes and Amazonia.
The indigenous women and youth that have participated in the use of our training facilities have earned places on the boards of their organizations and hold public posts within their communities.
Our effective management of funds provided by international cooperation earned us a commendation from the Peruvian Agency for International Cooperation (APCI) in 2015.
Since 2014, CHIRAPAQ holds a consultative status with the Economic and Social Committee of the United Nations. This designation acknowledges the experience and technical knowledge acquired by CHIRAPAQ and enables it to intervene and dispatch communiqués at United Nations conferences.
